Wow! God is so good. He is really moving in our outreach team and has blessed us with the opportunity to really reach out to the people of Durban. We arrived yesterday by plane and it was very excited! Two of our team members had never been on a plane before! We are housed in the upstairs of a beautiful church in the town of Stanger and it has been quite an experience sleeping on the floor as a team. We were blessed with fans today so our sleep should be even better with the cool breeze! Praise God! The community is mostly Indian people and we are very thankful for the families of the church. They have been hosting us for lunch and supper and the hospitality has been more than we could have wished for.

We are partnering up with Stanger Baptist Church.Tonight we ran the youth meeting. The youth have such a drive and ambition and were very accepting of us! Lenize and Noora gave great messages and we really felt a connection with the youth. Next Friday we will be joining them again for a huge youth gathering. We were first told that it would be a crowd of 60 people, but now we are looking more at about 250 young people! Wow! We are so excited to reach out to them through dramas, testimonies and a message from Michelle.

We have been keeping really busy since we arrived yesterday, but the team feels like we want to do more for the community. We have discussed doing practical things such as picking up trash and helping at the local center for Cancer and AIDS patients. So there will be more updates on that.

Tomorrow we will start with open air ministry where we will share a skit, testimonies, and a short message from Wikus. We are looking forward to ministering to people of the town and we are trusting God to send people our way. We want to encourage the other outreach teams to start Treasure Hunting as soon as you hit the airport. It brought a huge unity spirit to our group and we want to hear your stories!

Please keep our outreach in your prayers! This town has a very large Muslim influence and we sense a heaviness upon the people. We can hear the prayer call of the Muslim mosque from the church where we held the youth meeting and many of us sensed that they, as a new generation, are hold that burden. As a team we have been praying for a release of that burden and just for them to hold strong to their faith.
