Our time in Okinawa is over, we left yesterday and we are know in Korea for a week before coming back to South Africa. We are all so sad to have left Okinawa, leaving behind a new family and friends in YWAM Okinawa and many of the churches and people we interacted with during our time. The last week of our outreach here was amazing, and we really went out with a bang, God is so good. We stayed at Will Church where we were able to attend the YWAM dts opening ceremony and make new friends with fellow DTS students. The new students got to help us in our preschool ministry the next day for 120 kids! We got to sing, dance, and play with the kids all morning it was so much fun seeing the kids smiling and having a great time. The next day our team got to sit in on an English learning school and interact with the kids and their parents as well, singing songs and playing games like musical chairs. Our last ministry before we left was African night, we had invited many young students from high schools and the university, but we had no idea what to expect. To our surprise there was over 30 youth that attended that were non chrisitan. This is a large number for Japanese churches, many have no youth in their church and have no way of reaching out to them. God was with us that African night as Xander and Hope shared a message and testimony and we got to minister to the youth of Okinawa. It was so wonderful to see God move in that place, Claudio was able to share the gospel with three of the students and we built relationships with the youth that will hopefully help the church get their ministry started. The people of Okinawa are so kind and have shown us how nice people can really be (we have so many new facebook friends) . The night was a success and we can only give all the glory to God for the his presence with us during the time.
Our last days were spent at a prayer house where we were able to reflect and pray for our outreach in Okinawa. We did a prayer walk throughout the city and interceded in the morning and evening as well as got down and dirty helping clean out gutters and ditches for the prayer house. Some of us even got to meet a family that had moved to Okinawa after their house was destroyed in the Tsunami on north mainland Japan. All in all our time in Okinawa was life-changing and something none of us will ever forget, many of us our already planning ways to go back and share God's love to the people. We are now in Korea for a week where we just got back from doing evangelism at a local junior high school. We will be attending church, prayer meetings, and maybe even going to the north and south Korean border. Now is a time of a bit of rest before we head back to Worcester. We will be home in South Africa next week, ready to continue displaying God's splendor in Worcester..
